Nancy and I spent last week in NW Lower Michigan after a night in Milwaukee. We went specifically to see the Quadracci Pavilion, designed by Santiago Calatrava, at the Milwaukee Art Museum, and we got to see the wings fold at 5PM (they open and close depending on the time of day and weather). The Lake Express high-speed ferry took us from Milwaukee to Muskegon, Michigan. We spent three nights near Leland, Michigan exploring the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and environs. Plan was to camp 2 nights on South Manitou Island but bad weather squelched that. There were classic car and wooden boat shows going on but we spent most of our time sightseeing, beachcombing and hitting the roadside fruit stands and brought back a car full of beach rocks, smoked salmon, plums and apples.
I’ve added a few shots from recent projects to my Commercial/Editorial and People galleries. Clients have included Kris Hill Company (custom homes), Field & Stream, Jungle Campus, Guideposts, the Iowan and SHOT Business magazines.
